Welcome to SociaApp Privacy Policy (“Policy”)! This Policy will explain how we collect, store, protect, and share your information you have provided on our Services, and with whom we share it.We are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. If you do not agree with this Policy, you should not use our Services. The App and Sites are operated by “SociaApp Pte. Ltd.” (also referred to “we” or “us” in this Policy), with its registered address at 60 Albert Street OG Complex, #15-11/12, Singapore 189969.

1. Information we collect on SociaApp

To provide the SociaApp Services, we must process information about you. The types of information we collect depend on how you use our Services. You can learn how to access and delete information we collect by visiting the SociaApp Settings.

When you download the App and create an Account with us, we may collect certain information about you:

Profile Information.

You provide us information when you register for our Services, including Emails, Name, Gender, Date of Birth, Username, Photographs, Profession, Workplace, Country, Biography, Previous Work Experiences, Previous Education, Website, and Work Address. You will also be required to create a password to register your Account. Once you have registered, you can change these information by accessing the Settings in the App.

Information and content you provide.

We collect the content, communications and other information you provide when you use our Services, including when you sign up for an account, and communicate with others through chats. This can include information in or about the content you provide (like metadata), such as the location of a photo or the date a file was created. It can also include what you see through the features we provide, such as our camera. Our systems automatically process content and communications you and others provide to analyse context and what's in them for the purposes described below. We process content you generate and photos you upload on our Services (“User Content”). We collect User Content through the time it was uploaded, created or imported, regardless of whether you decide to save the Content you have taken with your camera, or to upload that User Content. We collect information through contests, surveys, or events within the App you participated. We also collect information regarding your use of our Services, like how you engage and interact on our Services, the ads you view on our Services, and problems or issues you may have encountered. We also process information about the statistics of your ads, for the purposes of promoting your Content to a bigger audience on our Services. We may also use these information to personalise ads and share with you new Products or Services.

Profile Verification.

We require Users to verify their accounts by tapping on the verification link in the email to complete the account registration. To get the verified badge, we require Users to carry out a photo verification for us to ensure that you are not a robot, or to proof your identity of age to avoid fake and spam accounts which may be used for unscrupulous means and affect the SociaApp community.

In-App Purchase.

When you make an In-App Purchase, your subscription purchase will be made via your Apple iTunes or Google Play account. We do not collect any financial or billing information from you in relation to such a transaction. Please review the relevant app store's terms and notices in respect of the handling of such data. When your purchase is successful, we can credit your account with the correct value of Subscription Period. We keep a record of the purchases you make, the time at which you make those purchases and the amount spent. In addition to In-App Purchases, if you choose to make other payment related transactions, the provider may collect payment information, including payment card numbers or other third-party payment information (such as PayPal) where required for the purpose of payment.

Invite Friends.

You can invite friends to our Services with the “Invite Friends” function. This function enables you to see your friends in your device contact list, or other social media friends list to invite them to join you on our Services. We will use the contact information you have to send them a message to invite them to join you on our Services. We will collect information about the people, accounts, and groups you are connected to and how you interact across our Services. We also collect contact information if you choose to upload from any devices (such as an address book or call log or SMS log history), which we use for other purposes listed below.

Technical Information.

We collect information from and about the mobile devices, and other web-connected devices you use that integrate with our Services, and we combine this information across different devices you use. For example, we use information collected about your use of our Services on your mobile device to better personalise the content (including ads) or features you see when you use our Services on another device, or to measure whether you took an action in response to an ad we showed you on your phone on a different device. We collect information such as the operating system, timezone, hardware and software versions, battery level, signal strength, screen resolution, available storage space, app and file names and types, plugins and information about operations and behaviours performed on your mobile devices, such as whether a window is foregrounded or backgrounded. We also collect technical information such as bluetooth signals, and information about nearby Wi-Fi access points, beacons, cell towers, data from cookies stored on your device, including cookie IDs and settings, and information you allow us to receive when you turn on, such as access to your GPS location, camera or photos.

Location Information.

If you have given SociaApp access to your location in your device settings, we will collect information about WiFi access points as well as other location information about your longitude and latitude and may save your device’s coordinates to offer our Services to you. This information helps us identify your physical location and we use it to personalise the App and make it easier for you to interact with other Users nearby you or the region you wish to connect with, by enabling other Users to see your profile, and for you to connect with other Users that are near you. If you wish to turn this off, you can change this in your device settings.

Sharing of Links.

We may collect information about how Users interact with links that are shared across our Services. We may observe and share the click statistics and viewing time frame to improve the Services on our App.

Your usage on our Services.

We collect information about how you use our Services, such as the types of content you view or engage with; the features you use; the actions you take; the people or accounts you interact with; and the time, frequency, and duration of your activities. For example, we log when you're using or have last used our Services, and content you view on our Services. We also analyse content, communications and information that other people provide about you when they use our Services.

Cookies

We collect information by placing cookies on your computer or mobile devices. A cookie is a text stored on your computer or mobile devices by your web browser. Cookies store information about your website visits, recognises you and your preferences each time you visit SociaApp, and ensures site functionality to provide our Services upon your request. We may use cookies and similar web tracking technologies to authenticate visitors, maintain sessions, store language settings, for security measures, improve user experience, distribute ads that are more relevant to you, and measure the response from the ads. You can control to accept cookie settings based on your web browser settings or by using other tools. If you choose to deactivate cookies, you may limit the full experience of the website, lose access to certain functions, and may affect your overall user experience.

Customer Support

When you contact our Customer Support team, we will receive your email address, IP address and the information you send to us. We will keep all records of our communications with you, including any feedback or complains we receive about you or other Users.

2. How do we use information we collect?

We use the information we have subject to how you used our Services below.

To improve our Services.

We use the information to improve our Services, such as to personalise features, content, and make suggestions you may be interested on our Services. To create Services that are relevant to you, we use your networks, preferences, interests and activities based on the data we collect from you and people you have interacted with on our Services.

We use the information we have to develop, test and improve our Services, by testing, informing our algorithms, and troubleshooting new Services and features before we make them available to you. We use location-related information, such as your current location, the businesses and people you're near to provide our Services, which includes ads for you and others. Location-related information can be based on things like precise device location (if you've allowed access for us to collect it), IP addresses, and information from your use of our Services. We use the information we have about you to personalise ads, offers and other sponsored content to show you on our Services.

Promote safety, and security for breach of our Terms.

We use the information we have to verify accounts and activity, combat harmful conduct or illegal activities, detect and prevent spam and other possible bad experiences, maintain the core purpose of our Services, and promote safety and security on our Services. For example, we use data we have to investigate suspicious activity or violations of our terms or policies.

Communicate with you.

We use the information we have to send you marketing communications, communicate with you about our Services, let you know about new offers, sponsored contents, and enforce new Terms, and/or policies required by law. To facilitate sales, promotions, and purchases of Services or features. We also use your information to respond to you when you contact us pertaining to any reports you have submitted to us.

3. How is this information shared?

Your information is shared with third parties in the following ways:

Sharing on SociaAppServices

When you use SociaApp to communicate with people or businesses, those people and businesses can see the content you submitted. Your networks can also see actions you have taken on our Services, including engagement with ads and sponsored content.

Public information can be seen by anyone, on or off our Services, including if they don't have an account. This includes your SociaApp username; any information you share with a public audience. We provide access to or send public information to anyone on or off our Services, including in other SociaApp Services, in search results, or through tools and APIs. Public information can also be seen, accessed, re-shared or downloaded through third-party Services such as search engines, APIs, and offline media such as TV, apps, websites and other Services that integrate with our Services.

Content others share about you

You should consider who you choose to share your content with, because people who can see your activity on our Services can choose to share it with others on and off our Services, including people and businesses outside the audience you shared with. For example, when you send a message to specific users, they can download, screenshot, or re-share that content to other users on or off our Services, in person or in virtual reality platforms.

People can also use our Services to create and share content about you. For example, people can share a photo of you in Chats, or share information about you in their messages with others.

Advertisers.

We provide advertisers with reports about the kinds of people seeing their ads and how their ads are performing, but we don't share information that personally identifies you (information such as your name or email address that by itself can be used to identify who you are) unless you give us permission. For example, we provide general demographic and interest information to advertisers (for example, that an ad was seen by a woman between the ages of 21 and 30 who is in Singapore and is a financial consultant) to help them better understand their audience. We also confirm which SociaApp ads led you to make a purchase or take an action with an advertiser. We share information with advertisers and advertising networks to show how many users on our Services have clicked, viewed or reacted on any advertisements. We share your device ID so we can link your activity on other websites to show you advertisements that may be in your interest groups.

Measurement Partners.

We share information about you with companies that aggregate it to provide analytics and measurement reports to our partners. We provide information and content to service providers who support our Services, such as cloud providers, search engines and content moderation services to assist us in marketing our Services.

Payment Providers

When you choose to make In-App Purchases on our app, we will share data with the relevant payment providers to facilitate and complete the transaction. For Token purchases, we share a transaction ID to enable us to identity you and credit to your account once the payment is made.

Business Partners offering goods and Services in our Services.

When you subscribe, or buy something in our Services, the content creator or seller can receive your public information and other information you share with them, as well as the information needed to complete the transaction, including shipping and contact details.

Service Providers.

We provide information and content to vendors and service providers who support our Services, such as by providing technical infrastructure, analysing how our Services are used, providing customer service, facilitating payments, ensuring a pleasant experience for users and conducting events or promotions in the app.

Law Enforcement Agencies.

We may share your information with law enforcement agencies, or other organisations if legally required to do so to comply with legal processes or obligations. We may also do so to protect individuals, public safety, or our company risks. This includes exchanging information with other companies for the purposes of scam, sexual harassment, threats of harm, fraud protection, terrorism acts, company reputation, and credit default risk.

Sales or Merger.

In the event that we sell or buy any new or existing assets, such as liquidation, bankruptcy or otherwise, we will disclose your data to to the prospective seller or buyer of such business or assets. In the event that we have new partnerships, mergers or being acquired by other businesses or companies, certain user information may be among the transferred assets to complete the process.

4. Managing and deleting your personal information

We provide you the ability to access, and rectify your data. We store data until it is no longer necessary to provide our Services. This is a case-by-case basis that depends on things like the nature of the data, why it is collected and processed, and relevant legal or operational retention needs. For example, when you search for something on SociaApp, your search history is automatically cleared at any time. When you deactivate your account, we remove you from all your group chats, and you will need to rejoin the group chats on your own when you reactivate your account. We will keep personal information of Users who are banned from our Services for unlawful and negative behaviour to prevent them from registering a new account.

To deactivate your account at any time, please visit the SociaApp Settings. When your account is deactivated, we will take necessary precautions to ensure your account details no longer show up on SociaApp. It is still possible to restore your account if you login again if this action was accidental or if you changed your mind in deactivating your account. After you have deactivated your account, we will store your information in our servers in an anonymised and aggregated format. We retain your information as we have a legitimate business purpose to keep such data. You can delete chat messages in chat rooms. This action is irreversible and the chat history will be wiped out from our entire database.

Note: When you remove or change information from your profile or deactivate your Account, copies of your personal information may still be viewable or accessed as such information has been previously shared with others, or copied or stored by people on or off our Services. We cannot control this, nor do we accept any liability for this. If you have given third party applications or websites access to your personal information, they may retain your information to the extent permitted under their Terms of Service or Privacy Policies.

5. Storing your personal data

We take appropriate security measures to help protect your information against misuse, unauthorised access, or disclosure. We use security measures to safeguard the confidentiality of your personal information such as secured servers with firewalls. Unfortunately, no servers or websites are 100% secure and we cannot guarantee that hacking, data breaches, or unauthorised access will never happen. The personal data we collect from you are stored in major cloud servers around the world in Asia, EU, US, and UK. You may be afforded with privacy law rights in your country, such as to access your data, delete your data, or others. For your protection and the protection of all users, we may ask you for specific information to assist us in confirming your identity before we attend to your requests.

6. How do we operate and transfer data as part of our global Services?

We share information globally, both internally within SociaApp, and externally with our partners and with those you connect with around the world in accordance with this policy. Your information may be transferred or transmitted to, or stored and processed in Singapore or other countries outside of where you live for the purposes as described in this policy. These data transfers are necessary to provide the Services set forth in SociaApp Terms of Service and to globally operate and provide our Services to you.

7. Age policy

You have to be at least 18 years old to use SociaApp. If you are below 18, you will have to come back again when you are old enough to use SociaApp.

If you are under the age of 18, we request that you do not submit any information to us. If we are aware of anyone under the age of 18 who registered an account with us, will will take necessary steps to delete and terminate that person’s account. We may retain their email and IP address to ensure they do not try to create another account with us when this process is completed.

8. How will we notify you of changes to this policy?

We'll notify you by app notifications to give you the opportunity to review the revised policy before you choose to continue using our Services. However, you may not receive the notifications if you have turned the notifications off on your device. We ask that you check our Privacy Policy from time to time to ensure you are kept up to date. If you do not agree with the our Privacy Policy, you should stop using our Services.
